Perfect Soldier

the true super soldier

Soma Peries always believed herself to be a super soldier, but it was Hallelujah, while working together with Allelujah, during th final episode who explains what it truly meant to be a super soldier. Allelujah only achieves the super soldier status with the help of Hallelujah, since both of their talents were needed. They joint as they both agreed that they wished to live on, Allelujah not prepared to die yet, before knowing what answer the world held. With that agreement, Hallelujah lifted his hair back and revealed both of his eyes for the first time, allowing Allelujah to share power.

To Soma’s disbelief, Hallelujah explains that super reflex, attained from the quantum brain waves the HRL implanted in them, and combined with a higher level of thinking that was needed to work with the super reflexes and instincts togther made the perfect super soldier. Allelujah was the thinking part, Hallelujah the instincts. Soma Peries only had the reflexes, but without the higher level of thinking, she was just moving like an animal, acting only upon her instincts, her mind unable to catch up. It was easy then, for Hallelujah to read Soma’s moves.

I would say Allelujah is the most talented pilot of the four meisters, but only with the help of Hallelujah. Since alone, Allelujah was always too afraid to harm to use his full potential. Hallelujah, having no pity for those who stood in his way of survival, did not have this problem. Of the other meisters, Setsuna battled on instincts and his great emotions, as well as his sole belief that the Gundams held the powers to the eradication of war. Lockon was a sniper, but snipers are not meant for all around battle, as soon as the advantage of distance left him, he was in trouble. Tieria, too, did not show superior skills in combat, in addition to being tied down by a heavy modeled mobile suit.

But since Hallelujah has left Allelujah, moving to the beyond first, we’ll have to wait and see just how good he’ll be by himself. Perhaps he is more willing to use his full potential, perhaps it has left him much like Hallelujah did. We’ll have to see.
