Yandere

The archetype behind the character

This section is dedicated to Lorelei because I was reading her twitter update when I saw this term. And when I read the definition, I thought it fit Allelujah rather well, though a little different than the standard character type.

Yandere is a term used to describe a personality or a person who is gentle and kind most of the time, but then suddenly becomes the very opposite, crazy and scary, and in an extreme way. I’m sure it’s not too hard seeing Allelujah being the kind and gentle side, and Hallelujah being the crazy and scary side.

I’m not exactly the pro on this field, but I can only guess the split personality idea, with one being the dark while the other the light, came from the idea of yandere. It’s not too much of a stretch to make a clear split in persona between the kind and scary sides.

So that being said, Allelujah, though not a true yandere, is the one I prefer, and not to mention the only one I’m really familiar with.
